Lady Rebels, Rebels enter state’s Nos. 1- and 2-ranked teams

Looking for some post Christmas hoops to get your motor running for the district schedule to come?

The Renasant Bank Christmas Tournament at Maryville the next three days is just what the doctor ordered as we ready to bid farewell to 2018.

The girls field features CoachT.com’s No. 1-ranked Lady Rebels (13-0), with seniors Courtney Carruthers and Lindsey Taylor and sophomore Denae Fritz pacing a fun bunch that can really put up some points.

No. 11 Farragut (12-3), Powell, Blackman and Class AA powers McMinn Central and Fulton are part of an impressive girls bracket.

Maryville’s No. 2-ranked and district front-running Rebels (12-1) will have their hands full as well. Top-ranked Fulton (8-1), the 2018 Class AA runners up, are back for another go. That’s enough for us right there.
