It was a Maryville basketball game.

Blount Press Row didn’t have a photographer that evening when we spotted a guy hitting the switches on a Cannon a few spots down. We struck up a conversation and asked if we could use some of his pictures to go with the story.

The Rebels go through warmups prior to the game. It takes a keen eye to see the emotion in a shot like this.

Thus began our association with Wallace Bowden.
