Video by Will Reed
Editor’s note: Tech issues beyond belief all but wiped out our coverage of last week’s games, but something we badly wanted to introduce survived. We would like you to meet Will Reed.

Blount Press Row
From its inception, a key goal of Blount Press Row has been to integrate the schools in our coverage area into the production process.
The idea is bring aboard students from our high schools and middle schools with interests in the writing, photography, video and podcasting, train them and send them into the field as our “Blount Press Row Street Team.”
The idea came from a web administrator in our first year, Leanne Moe, owner of Studio 212 Arts. Since then, we’ve devoted a lot of time in planning how to make it work. With that, we’re happy to introduce to you Will Reed, the first member of the Street Team to become a working journalist.
Will is a sophomore at Maryville High School and a friend of the son of our photo/video editor, Jolanda Jansma. Will began job-shadowing Jolanda late last season with a focus on doing some video for us.
At last Friday’s Maryville/Alcoa game, we gave him the video camera and turned him loose. We like his work.
If you have a son or daughter who might be interested in the Street Team, please email: stefancooper60@gmail.com.
Enjoy the video. See you at the games.
