Haley Finley

The Bio Blast! on: Haley Finley

Who she is: Senior singles and doubles tennis player at William Blount High School.

Why we like her: In this age of specialization at younger and younger ages, it’s still a good idea for a kid to try several sports to find the best fit for them. Haley enjoyed success at basketball and softball in middle school before settling on tennis at William Blount. (That day at the courts at Maryville College? It ain’t over, kiddo.)

Signature moment: High school players call their own lines unless there’s a dispute. Saw an opponent make an obvious bad call in a match once. Haley got fired up and ripped her.

What we’re dying to find out: When’s the rematch?

Quoting Haley: “Stefan, I’m NOT reading ‘Henry V.'” (We’ll see.)
