Buckles, defense drive Tornadoes to record 19th title

Cookeville – They played four quarterbacks this year.
The fourth, who didn’t see his first action this season until round three of the playoffs, rocked an MVP performance at the Class 3A BlueCross Bowl on Friday at Tennessee Tech.
Catholic transfer Caden Buckles very nearly caught Joei Fiegler for the Alcoa record for a quarterback in a championship game in a 35-0 rout of Milan. There’s the other side to that score, though, the dougnut. It was the Tornadoes eighth this season, producing what Blount Press Row believes IS a record for Alcoa in the playoff era of high school football.
