Lady Mustangs turn back Carpenters in epic finale

After a marathon four hours of volleyball, Heritage stormed home like Secretariat.

The three-time defending champion hit the gas at the end of the third, decisive set, turning back worthy challenger Carpenters, 25-16, 10-25, 15-8, in the championship match of the Blount County Middle School Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday at Alcoa High School.
