Keith Stephens spent much of the day hoping he wouldn’t have to do his best Bill Belichick later on. He needn’t have worried.

The McClurg twins, Mitchell and Matthew, led the way with 14 and 13 points, respectively, and Stephens’ Alcoa Middle boys basketball team completed a remarkable sports sweep by defeating rival Maryville, 46-23, in the championship game of the Blount County Middle School Tournament early last month at Heritage Middle School.
