Tennessee won its last national championship in football.
School-record holder Nikki Porter put three goals in the Farragut net at Admiral stadium, and the Maryville girls soccer team defeated the Lady Admirals for the first time, 3-2.
That was 1998.
Win No. 2 wasn’t even close.
