Sometimes it’s fun to turn and watch the parents.
Allison Barbee rescued the season for Maryville in the bottom of the seventh on Tuesday at Everett Park. The Lady Rebel senior’s three-run, walk-off home run lifted Maryville to a thrilling, 7-6 win over Halls in a Region 2AAA semifinal.
After yielding five runs to Halls in the pitching circle the first half inning, Barbee circled the bases in the seventh and “screamed like a little girl” much of the way.
