Saturday was nothing.
With Maryville College needing three wins to avoid elimination, freshman right-hander Brittany Henry went out and won all three in a fashion they’ll be talking about as long as they play softball at Maryville.
The pride of Murphy (N.C.) High School threw an incredible 299 pitches, 212 of them for strikes, as the third-seed Scots knocked off LaGrange, 1-0, Salem, 3-0, and Piedmont, 2-1, to reach today’s Great South Athletic Conference Tournament championship game.
