Farragut’s Admirals claimed a big win, which saw them come out 2-1 victors, but there was a highly contentious decision in the closing moments that could have turned this close game into a huge upset.
Historically the past three seasons, this fixture has been a washout, with the 2011 and 2009 games finishing 7-0, with a 9-nil 2010 game sandwiched between. Further, the Stephen Jennings goal for William Blount was the first goal that the current squad have seen scored against the Admirals in the past four years.
Initial Blount Press Row inquiries have Jennings in the record books as the first Governor ever to put a goal in the Farragut net.
