Alex Boyd, Henry Chambers, nice work.
There were plenty of highlights to go around at the Blount County high school football jamboree Friday night at William Blount.
Governors quarterback Brett Cortez put the season’s first points on the board with a length-of-the-field scamper. With running back Elijah Cannon and tight end Eli Owens leading the charge, betting against Alcoa making it nine in a row isn’t your best option.
Rebel running back Gage LaDue reminded us he can go the distance in a heartbeat if given only a crease.
Which brings us to Messers. Boyd & Chambers.
