Townsend goal caps spirited Lady Rebel rally

Audrey Lovin took a pretty big hit from a Bearden forward to make it happen.

The Maryville senior volleyed an intercepted pass out where junior Madison Harp could run onto it. Harp made string music with the cross, a real thing of beauty, and sophomore Allie Townsend swept the ball calmly by Bearden goalkeeper to lift the Lady Rebels to a 2-1 win in the battle of state powers at the Kerr Family Socer Complex.
