Johnson City — The sight of Maria Allocco at the free-throw line, winded, smiling again, let’s start there.

As recently as three weeks ago, the Maryville High School senior was pretty down on herself. She didn’t feel she was contributing very much anymore to a team that rang up 30 wins against four losses this season.
