Sense of family proves a boon for Jorgensen, Scots

After two years in Johnson City at ETSU, Ryan Jorgensen knew it was time for a change.
An All-State and All-Region goalkeeper at Maryville High School with a Division 1 caliber skill set, Jorgensen could have gone almost anywhere to continue his soccer career and education. The best choice, he decided, was home.
The Maryville College junior is enjoying a banner season as the Scots (10-1, 5-0 USA South Athletic Conference) host Methodist in an important league match this afternoon.
Kickoff is 4:30.
