The Tennessee Smokies open an important homestand when they welcome the Birmingham Barons to Smokies Stadium on Monday and Tuesday.
The Barons (17-5) held a substantial second-half lead over the Montgomery Biscuits (12-9) and Tennessee (8-13) entering Sunday’s Southern League North Division games. The second half season continues through August. The Chattanooga Lookouts claimed the first half North Division title, Tennessee four games back.
Game time Monday and Tuesday is 7:05 p.m.
Monday is “McGhee Tyson Airport Dollar Monday” at the park. All fans in attendance can purchase popcorn, hot dogs, small sodas and programs for a dollar courtesy of McGhee Tyson Airport. The evening also kicks off the Smokies’ “Sharknado” homestand featuring special on-field games, music, scoreboard graphics and more.
The Smokies begin a three-game weekend series with the Chattanooga on Friday.
