Alcoa didn’t waste any time Friday night at Kingston.
Quarterback Peyton Wall stung the Yellow Jackets for four first-half touchdown passes to four different receivers to earn Aubrey’s/Blount Press Row Player of the Week honors in the Tornadoes’ 70-13 rout of Kingston.
Junior receiver Brenden Teeter, 18 yards, sophomore tight end Ryan Clark, 6, senior receiver Malik Love, 39, and senior receiver Nick Miller, 6, were all recipients of Wall scoring tosses. The aerial assault was part of a night that saw Alcoa score on each of its nine possessions. Seven of those came in an opening half that produced a 49-0 halftime lead. Wall finished 8-of-10 passing for 138 yards and the four touchdowns in two quarters of play.
Alcoa is at Heritage on Friday as the Tornadoes and Mountaineers resume the series for the first time since the 2004 meeting.
