Maryville High School junior Shawn Prevo has been selected as the inaugural Aubrey’s Blount Press Row Player of the Week.

The Rebel halfback dashed through Cleveland’s defense for 233 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries in Maryville’s 41-17 rout of the Blue Raiders in the Airport Motor Mile Bowl on Saturday at Alcoa’s Goddard Field.

Prevo scored on runs of 1, 53, 22 and 9 yards. The 53-yard gallop down the far sideline had more shake to it than California. Backfield mate Trenton Shuler added 149 yards and a score on 12 carries as the defending Class 6A champion Rebels hung 393 yards rushing on the Blue Raiders as a team.

The win extends the Rebels’ current win streak to 30 games.
