Division III softball everywhere else must be off the chain!
Leah Kelley delivered a season for the ages a year ago. The Maryville College shortstop hammered opposing pitching for a .522 batting average, finishing eighth in the category nationally.
A lot of people can hit; Kelley hit for power, a .922 slugging percentage accompanying team and Great South Athletic Conference bests for doubles, triples, home runs and on-base percentage.
When Division III All-American lists were released last spring, the All-Atlantic Region selection wasn’t included on any of them.
