Nov. 2, 2008 was a big day in David Ingram’s life.
The 1978 Alcoa High School graduate ran his first New York City Marathon that morning. Waiting at the finish line was his girlfriend, Debbie, a race volunteer. Laced to one of his running shoes, Ingram had prepared a surprise for Debbie, and he’d made sure pretty much all of Gotham would watching.
