Baylee Delozier delivered a first-pitch strike to eight of the first 10 batters he faced Thursday night.
Alcoa never solved the Maryville right-hander from there.
The Rebel bats opened hot, and, with Landon Hawkins erasing the last best hope for the Tornadoes with a third inning defensive gem, Maryville continued an unbeaten start to the season with a 10-0 shutout at Maryville College’s Scotland Yard.
