For coach Moore, coach Robinette, coach Kerr, “Bear,” coach Stooksbury, coach Feather, the Louisiana Harris sisters, Sara and Kate, the Harris twins, Meghan and Jess, Mandy Franklin, Bekkah Massaro (goalkeeper in the greatest local high school match ever played), Susan Lunde (an all-time favorite), Sabrina Doughty, “Hollywood,” the Clark girls, Lindsey and Jamie, the Chesneys, Leanne and Emily (the Oak Ridge goal!), little Ruth Pittenger, Lindsey Reisser (the best defender we’ve ever seen play the game), Marquita and kid sister and school-record holder Nikki Porter (Look out, Nikki; this Coston kid is legit.), Lizzy Frye, Caroline Hobbs, for the countless players who’ve worn the uniform through the years — and for us, Blount Press Row — best of luck to the Maryville High girls soccer team as it hosts Farragut in the District 4AAA tournament championship match tonight at the field behind John Sevier Elementary.
